GardenLinc episode 5 - flowers for the local market and rhododendrons

In this episode, recorded on Sept 26th and 28th, I talked to John Summers and Kathryn Millar.

John has a small plot of land in Southbridge and there he grows flowers that he sends into the Christchurch markets. He also sells some vegetables and fruit at his garden gate.

Kathryn and Geoff Millar have a remarkable garden at Wendrum south of Christchurch. Kathryn is also well acquainted with the rhododendrons at Orton Bradley park and the Ilam Homestead. Kathryn has a long association with rhododendrons and is a foundation member of the Canterbury Rhododendron Group. I apologise for the time editing and putting the interviews online. I think you'll still find both interviews very interesting.

Roy Edwards and I talked about sowing and planting annual flowers for the new growing season. Steve and Roy have both have many publications to their name so you can find out more with an internet search.
